Dr. Mufti joined Fairfax Vein Center and Fairfax Radiological Consultants in 2004. His areas of clinical interest include varicose vein treatments, peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysm endografts, carotid stenting, embolization, vertebroplasty, and fibroid embolization.
Dr. Mufti’s approach is to always look out for the best interests of his patients and to choose the best most viable option for his patients by “sometimes not intervening, not doing a procedure, and following the conservative approach.”
While growing up in Queens, New York, Dr. Mufti was inspired by his uncle, a physician who showed him how to be kind, caring, and compassionate to patients. Dr. Mufti went on to receive his undergraduate training in biology and philosophy at Rutgers University. His medical school training, internship in general surgery, and residency in radiology were all completed at UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where Dr. Mufti served as chief resident. Fellowship training in vascular and interventional radiology was completed at Brown University in Providence, RI.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology. In his spare time, Dr. Mufti enjoys spending time with his family, and is an enthusiastic golfer and tennis player.
